AST Social is a civil society organization founded in 2014 in Rio de Janeiro, headquartered in Bonsucesso, in the northern part of the city. We operate as a space for social protection, committed to promoting dignity and human rights.
Our main purpose is Social Assistance, working to guarantee and defend the rights of children, adolescents, and the elderly, as well as providing support and guidance to families and individuals in situations of vulnerability, personal risk, or social risk.
We believe in citizenship education, professional training, and community strengthening as pillars of social transformation.
We are supported by LM International, a Swedish organization with a global presence dedicated to promoting social justice, sustainable development, and humanitarian aid in more than 80 countries. With this partnership and the support of the Scandinavian Fair,we have already directly impacted over 8,000 people,promoting access to rights, income generation, and new life opportunities..
